Breaking the Stigma of Addiction Through Real Stories

Addict Confession Charity is a newly established 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity dedicated to educating the public about substance use disorder, sharing real recovery stories, and promoting healing through creative expression. We are just beginning–but every movement starts somewhere. Be part of the beginning.

She was five years old when her mother brought her to the United States, hoping to give her a safer, brighter life. As a child, she was thoughtful and full of curiosity. She loved music, especially the piano, and found comfort in it. She did well in school and had a quiet, steady kind of light about her.

As she grew older, life became more complicated. In her teenage years, she was introduced to substances and began to struggle. What may have seemed small at first slowly became something heavier and harder to carry on her own. Her family cared deeply and tried to support her in every way they could. She entered rehabilitation and took steps toward recovery. There were moments of hope, and there were setbacks too.

Just one week before her 20th birthday, she passed away.

Stories like hers remind us that behind closed doors, individuals and families are facing similar struggles.

Her Story is Not Unique—And That is Why We Exist

We are here to make sure stories like hers are heard with compassion, honesty, and hope.
